Byram is actually a suburb of Jackson, the capital of Mississippi and it is our newest City in the Metro area.  Byram is in the process in developing all its City Facilities, City Goverment, etc.  The Byram area is about 20 square miles and home to over 5,000 residents.  The Byram community is currently in the process of incorporating and just may be the "next big thing".  It is already a great place to live.  The Byram community is independent, proud of its populace and accomplishments and is determined to prove it to the surrounding areas. Currently, Byram's main economic base is comprised of retail and service-related industries. Byram Schools Students living in Byram are served by the Hinds County School District.  The Byram public schools are: Gary Road Elementary (Grades K-2), Gary Road Intermediate (Grades 3-5), Byram Middle School (Grades 6-8), Level 5 0-A Superior Performing School, and Terry High School. Byram's Churches Byram's residents can choose from a variety of churches to attend services in the city, including: Baptist, United Methodist, Pentacostal, Presbyterian, Christian and non-denominational churches.
